Benchmade Knives: Benchmade Griptilian Knife Series
The Benchmade Griptilian Knife Series is a line of knives designed by Mel Pardue. Each Griptilian Benchmade knife is geared for grip with features such as ambidextrous one hand opening blades with notched thumb rests, and textured Noryl GTX or Valox handles with ambidextrous AXIS Lock. The Folding Benchmade Griptilian Knives come in two sizes and several blade styles. Each Griptilian Benchmade knife is built solid with double 410 stainless steel liners, and each comes with a side to side reversible steel pocket clip mounted at the butt end. The Benchmade Griptilian Knives are made in the USA.
From the Benchmade website: Mel Pardue is one of those rare individuals who get paid for doing what he enjoys most- fashioning various materials and metals into custom cutting tools. He's been doing just that for over 20 years now, and thankfully for all of us, he has no plans of retiring anytime soon. Mel's association with Benchmade brings his custom knife making experiences and a personal knife design style that has a class and simplicity all its own. Some of his current Benchmade collaborations offer great utility to the everyday knife user while at the same time presenting an upscale distinction. Less is definitely more when it comes to Mel's designs.
