I've had half a dozen of these for over a decade. They hold an edge, and a moment with a sharpening steel touches them up fine enough to slice a ripe tomato. Besides regular paring knife chores they make great steak knives. Everyone seems to expect steak knives to have wavy edges, so some guests seem dubious about these... until they use them.
An amazing bargain in my opinion.
