Knife is sharpened to a razor edge. This service is done on a 2" x 72" Burr King and finished on a Baldor buffer using a leather wheel. Blades are kept cool so overheating is not an issue. Spyderco Manix 2 Knife - MagnaMax - Black G10

The illustrated Spyderco Knife is the updated Spyderco Manix 2 Knife that features a 3.37-inch drop point blade now made of MagnaMax™ stainless steel with a flat grind, a notched thumb ramp and choil for secure grip, and the Spyderco hole for ambidextrous one hand opening. The textured Black G10 handle, 4.66-inches closed, has scalloped full steel liners for strength, an encased Ball Bearing Lock, a lined lanyard hole, and a side to side reversible metal pocket clip. The Spyderco Manix 2 Knife has an overall length of 8-inches and weighs 4.9 ounces. Made in the USA.

This is my first Spyderco and I am impressed. It is very well built and solid. It is not a small knife and wont disappear in your pocket as would a Benchmade Bugout. But, it is reassuring to have such a solid knife in your pocket. The blade was nicely sharp upon delivery. It is a good size for most tasks - around the house and medium outdoor work. So far, it has proven a workhorse and shows no real wear. It spent a week on the Appalachian trail and I was happy to have it. Very fast processing and delivery by knivesplus.

I received a manix 2 within a few short days of ordering. This knife is razor sharp out of the box. I gently stripped the blade on my Knives Plus strip block and the blade is scary sharp now. Two drops of 10w Lilly white oil had the blade free dropping on release of lock. The Spyderco Manix 2 is very smooth in action and flick-a-bility! Ergonomics are fantastic with the added jimping. Solid lock up and one of the strongest on any folding knife. You will not regret a Spyderco Manix 2. Thank you Knives Plus!

I bought a Manix 2 a couple years ago from knivesplus.com

The lock is super smooth, knife practically falls open when you pull back the spring, easily falls closed on its own. Very solid feeling, heavy knife. Great in the hands, better ergonomics than the PM2. All around fantastic, the manix 2 is one I recommend all the time to friends.
The only complaint I have is: I wish the blade came in Satin, instead of stonewash... the wash is kind of boring on it, but not a big deal.

I have been a Spyderco user for way over twenty years.The one handed opening won me over. I really liked the options to personalize this knife as I ordered it. I chose this model because I wanted Spydercos version of the axis lock. It is a handful of a knife but fits in my pocket well. I wish the pocket clip was slightly easier to clip on my jeans pocket. The knife is razor sharp out of the box. True to form easy to open and close one handed. I am very satisfied with my purchase.

I already own several spyderco's and the manix2 does not disappoint. Stock it is a excellent edc knife. I however decided to have knives+ do a acid and stonewash on this model. Their craftsman did an exceptional job. The option says blade and clip for satin finishes however they also did the back spacer as well. Which was an unexpected and welcome extra touch. When I next purchase a product from them I will not hesitate to have them do any of the mod work they offer.
