Spyderco Knives: Spyderco Robin2 G10 Knife, SP-BY10GP2

The illustrated Spyderco Knife is the Spyderco Robin2 G10 Byrd knife that features a 2.4" blade made of 8Cr13MoV stainless steel. The blade of this Spyderco Byrd knife has a full flat grind, a notched thumb ramp and choil for secure grip, and a comet shaped hole for ambidextrous one hand opening. The black G10 handle, 3.3" closed, has a Boye Dent lockback and a lanyard hole. A side to side reversible steel pocket clip is mounted at the butt end of this Byrd Knife. The Spyderco Robin2 G10 Byrd Knife has an overall length of 5.7" and it weighs 2.5 ounces. Made in China.

Good knife for price 03/19/2018

Nice size knife for EDC. Sturdy, heavy construction, stainless steel liners. Very good pocket clip, four optional mounting points. The only complaint I have is that the blade is almost impossible to open with one hand using the thumb hole in the blade. The blade pivot point is assembled so tight and there are no brass or any kind of spacers to reduce the friction. Loosening the blade pivot screw did not help. Adding a couple of drops of oil helped a little. Maybe after some continued use it will become easier. But after all, it is a very inexpensive knife to be a Spyderco and made in China, so it cannot be perfect!
