The illustrated MODIFIED Spyderco Knife is the Spyderco Delica 4 Lightweight REGROUND Wharncliffe Knife that features a REGROUND 2.87" Wharncliffe blade made of VG10 stainless steel, .098" thick. The ACID STONEWASHED blade of this Spyderco knife has an flat grind, a notched thumb ramp for secure grip, and the Spyderco hole for ambidextrous one hand opening. The black FRN (fiberglass reinforced nylon) handle, 4.25" closed, has Bi-Directional Texturing, a lockback and a lanyard hole. A four position steel pocket clip is included with this Spyderco Knife. The MODIFIED Spyderco Delica 4 Lightweight Wharncliffe Knife has an overall open length of 7.12" and it weighs 2.4 ounces. Made in Japan.

From the Spyderco website: Inspired by a request from one of our customers who uses a Delica 4 Lightweight every day in his job, this variation features a flat-ground Wharncliffe-style blade crafted from VG-10 stainless steel. The perfectly straight cutting edge of this blade profile provides the maximum transfer of cutting pressure - all the way to the tip - and provides an acute point that excels at detailed work. All other features of this workhorse design are consistent with the standard Delica 4 Lightweight model.

I am extremely please with the quality of the work done by the knives plus team.

I got two knives stonewashed and they did a fantastic job with the finish being consistent and they resharpened it to a fine edge. The heat treated hardware looks great. Overall I am very pleased with my purchase and highly recommend knives Plus.

The support team was very helpful about the requests I had for both knives and were able to answer all my questions in a timely manner. (My recommendation is that if you don’t see a specific service for a knife your considering potentially email the team and see if that service is possible… they were very accommodating to my request.)

I previously purchased a modified delica, with a ground point similar to this (and the stonewash mod). I love it, but when I saw this Wharncliffe version, I had to have it. This is two things for me. First, it's now my best "splinter removal" knife because of the tip. Second, it's much closer to my Yojimbo blade - except lighter and not as wide a blade.
I purchase knives based on a perceived "perfect use", and to fill a gap in utility with my other knives. I can't recommend this knife strongly enough.
I got the brass color screw treatment, and it goes with the stonewash and regrind to make this very useful knife a real beauty.

I have about 10 Delicas but have been getting
a little bored with them until I came across this modified one , the work done is very precise and
Clean , it give the Delica new life
It’s razor sharp and just fun to play with
and the finish on he blade and back spacer looks
awesome as well
Well worth the couple of extra $$$
