Knife is sharpened to a razor edge. This service is done on a 2" x 72" Burr King and finished on a Baldor buffer using a leather wheel. Blades are kept cool so overheating is not an issue. The 1135990 Old Timer 94OTH Trapper Knife, from the Old Timer Heritage Series, features clip and spey blades made of tough D2 tool steel, .08 inch thick, with polished finish and nail nicks for opening. The gray laminate wood handle, 3 7/8 inches closed, has brass liners, Old Timer shield and nickel silver bolsters. The Old Timer Trapper Knife weighs 2.77 ounces; made in China.

Excellent knife. Fit & finish on par with my Case slipjoints. I bought it because of the D2 steel, not expecting much else. I am pleasantly surprised at the quality. I paid extra for Knives
+ sharpening and that was also money well spent. I have Benchmades and Spydercos that did not come this sharp. If your curious and want a slipjoint with better edge retention buy it. Add the $8 sharpening.

I'm buying the stockman next.
