Knife is sharpened to a razor edge. This service is done on a 2" x 72" Burr King and finished on a Baldor buffer using a leather wheel. Blades are kept cool so overheating is not an issue. UPDATED CQI VERSION - CPM S45VN blade steel!

This MODIFIED Spyderco Para 3 Knife features a 3" modified clip point blade made of CPM S45VN premium stainless steel with a non reflective black finish, a notched choil and thumb ramp for secure grip, and the Spyderco hole for ambidextrous one hand opening. The contoured, textured G10 handle has been replaced with the KP Custom OD Green Micarta Scales. The Para 3 has a closed length of 4.27", comes with a nested Compression Lock, a lined lanyard hole, and a side to side and end to end reversible steel pocket clip. The Spyderco Para 3 Knife has an overall open length of 7.27", and it weighs 3 ounces. Made in the USA.

This knife is so stunning in person. There's something about the OD and black color combo that really pops. I was never a fan of black coated blades, but this knife converted me and this is now my favorite knife in the collection. The micarta scales have a smooth matte finish that isn't slippery in the hand, but does not abrade your pockets like the stock G10 scales. The matte scales complement the matte DLC blade coating. The edges of the scales are contoured at the edges like the stock ones. This knife is a pretty good value considering it costs the same as the knife + micarta scales and you basically get them installed for free. Also, the stock G10 scales are included, so you can either sell them, keep them as spares, or use them for a custom project. I added a Lynch NW deep carry clip in black cerakote, and this knife is now perfection. Awesome customer service and fast shipping from KP as well.

Great knife. Love the micarta. Very easy on the pocket because of the smooth micarta. My edc even to bed. If it's in stock then get it.
