The illustrated Spyderco Knife is the MODIFIED Spyderco Dragonfly 2 Lightweight Knife that features an ACID WASHED 2.28" leaf shaped blade made of VG10 stainless steel, .098" thick. The blade of this Spyderco Knife has a flat grind, AN ACID WASH, a jimped choil and thumb ramp for secure grip, and the Spyderco hole for ambidextrous one hand opening. The contoured Safety Orange FRN (fiber reinforced nylon) handle, 3.33" closed, has patented Bi-Directional Texturing, Boye Dent lockback and a lanyard hole. A side to side reversible wire clip is mounted at the butt end of this Spyderco Knife. The MODIFIED Spyderco Dragonfly2 Lightweight Knife with Orange handle has an overall open length of 5.61" inches, and it weighs 1.3 ounces. Made in Japan.

I've wanted the spyderco dragonfly for a long time and decided on this custom version. The orange FRN handles are nice and grippy with the bi-directional texturing and really pop against the acid wash blade. I really like how this knife feels in the hand with the finger choil- I can get three fingers solidly on the handle which is impressive for such a small knife. The knife disappears in the pocket due to how thin it is.
I assume Knivesplus had to resharpen the blade after the acid wash and it is definitely hair-popping sharp out the box. The blade stock is thin and great for slicing and comes to a nice point. Spyderco has nice jimping on their blades and it really helps to lock the knife in your hand. Lockup is solid with no blade play. You can flick the blade open, but I found it takes a moderate flick of the wrist to do so- only because the blade is so small and doesn't have the momentum a larger blade does. Definitely going to fulfill most edc needs- nice knife!

I am a Dragonfly fan and own several that I rotate and everyday carry. Dragonfly knives are very limited in colors and styles compared to Delica... until now. Wow, thanks Knives Plus for creating custom acid wash blades and many variations of rit dye handle scales... This factory orange handle is a perfect contrast to their acid wash blade. Knives Plus nailed it again !!!
