MODIFIED Spyderco Delica 4 - Wharncliffe - Acid Wash - Black Handle

Some of our modifications include acid washing, anodizing, regrinding, and customizing backspacers. All blades have been re-sharpened and are guaranteed to shave.

We offer some add-on services to customize your knife even more. The pricing on these is higher due to the added work involved. The pocket clips have black paint that has to be removed then the acid stonewash and/or heat coloring can be applied. Heat coloring hardware is a straightforward process and can be done at home with a small propane torch. If you would like us to do it we charge a small fee.

The illustrated Spyderco Knife is the MODIFIED Spyderco Delica 4 Lightweight Wharncliffe Knife that features an ACID STONEWASH 2.87" Wharncliffe blade made of VG10 stainless steel, .098" thick. The ACID STONEWASHED blade of this Spyderco knife has a flat grind, a notched thumb ramp for secure grip, and the Spyderco hole for ambidextrous one hand opening. The black FRN (fiberglass reinforced nylon) handle, 4.25" closed, has Bi-Directional Texturing, a lockback and a lanyard hole. A four position steel pocket clip is included with this MODIFIED Spyderco Knife. The MODIFIED Spyderco Delica 4 Lightweight Wharncliffe Knife has an overall open length of 7.12" and it weighs 2.4 ounces. Made in Japan.

From the Spyderco website: Inspired by a request from one of our customers who uses a Delica 4 Lightweight every day in his job, this variation features a flat-ground Wharncliffe-style blade crafted from VG-10 stainless steel. The perfectly straight cutting edge of this blade profile provides the maximum transfer of cutting pressure - all the way to the tip - and provides an acute point that excels at detailed work. All other features of this workhorse design are consistent with the standard Delica 4 Lightweight model.

Normally I do not write reviews. But this is so great that I felt that I had to. I actually purchased this knife unused from the man that wrote the other review. That's how good this is! Two reviews for one knife. I have 2 unmodified wharcliffe delica 4's in my collection already and as much as I love them I really wanted something that stood out. The guys here at knives plus did just a spectacular job with the work on this one. It was exactly what I was looking for. Its great looking and hides hard use and scratches very well. I am a Spyderco junkie but I have always had an issue with how quickly my knives get scratched up on their satin finishes. That problem is a non issue with this one. This is my daily carry knife now and quite honestly i use it harder than I should. But it looks just as nice as the day I purchased it. I didn't know about the knives plus guys untill I purchased this and I can promise that I will be ordering from them very soon. Great job! Thanks!

At first I was unsure about the purchase, but I'd give it a shot. An I'm very glad I did cause everything about the knife is fantastic! The acid wash is great! The bronze heat treatment for the hardware is awesome as well. I'm more than happy with everything! I've found a place finally were I know I can come back too with confidence!!!

I am a spyderco guy and I have a standard delica, Ive been thinking about buying the wharncliffe for a while now, I just got it in the mail, it is definately a delica, and I really like the straight edge, I don't cut a lot of food with my pocket knives so the straight edge is all I need, the stonewash looks very nice and it came very sharp as well.

If your looking for a unique one of a kind look to an EDC classic this is it. I love the delica with the Wharcliffe blade but with the acid wash it adds about 10 points.

Price was very reasonable and fast shipping. New favorite EDC.
