Kershaw Knives: Kershaw Leek Knife, Carbon Fiber, KE-1660CF

This Kershaw Leek Knife, designed by Hawaiian custom knifemaker Ken Onion, features a 3" modified drop point blade made of premium CPM 154 stainless steel with a stonewash finish, dual thumb studs, flipper and SpeedSafe Assist for fast ambidextrous one hand opening. The black carbon fiber handle, 4" closed, has a liner lock, lanyard hole, and an end to end reversible pocket clip. The Kershaw Carbon Fiber Leek has an overall open length of 7", and it weighs 2.3 ounces. Made in the USA.

This is a terrific version of the Leek; fit and finish are superb. A couple of very small critiques: 1) I wish the blade was sharper, but to be honest most every blade I buy is not sharp enough for me and I end up resharpening it to a highly polished hair popping edge. This knife came with a "hair scraping" edge from the factory. Very small gripe and fixable to those who have the skill and means to resharpen but maybe not everyone wants to spend the time on it for a brand new knife.
2) The pocket clip is a cheesy painted looking black color; why they didn't use a blackwash or stonewashed silver one I don't know but it would have really added a lot to the looks of this already nice looking knife.
Other than these very minor critiques, this is a beautiful version of the iconic Leek which in all versions is a beautifully designed and very well crafted US made knife.

Love this knife.
Fit, finish is fantastic, blade centered, solid lock-up.
Flicks out super fast.
Came out of the box super sharp, and continues to take a mean edge.
Carbon fiber scales are very nice looking.
It's an excellent work knife and can handle most daily cutting chores, I've really been enjoying this knife. I'm very happy with it... no complaints just praise.

This was my first Leek. What a great little edc. Very well made, light and the blade has a very utilitarian shape. Fit and finish were very good.
Definitely recommend.
