Knife is sharpened to a razor edge. This service is done on a 2" x 72" Burr King and finished on a Baldor buffer using a leather wheel. Blades are kept cool so overheating is not an issue. GiantMouse has really upped their game recently, and this REO is the latest example of that. The main factor is probably that this model is made by LionSteel rather than Viper. Viper makes a decent enough knife, but LionSteel is really a step above the other Maniago makers, and it shows here. Tolerances are tight, the details are very well done, the steel liners are skeletonized for lightening, and it has multi-row bearings (though they are still steel and not ceramic). I love the blue micarta, and the diamond plate texture adds visual interest and grip without being too abrasive. This is a very good knife and I hope that GM works with LionSteel on more future projects.
