Knife is sharpened to a razor edge. This service is done on a 2" x 72" Burr King and finished on a Baldor buffer using a leather wheel. Blades are kept cool so overheating is not an issue. GiantMouse GMF1-XL Knife - Satin Modified Drop Point - Brass

The GiantMouse GMF1-XL maintains the compact nature of the GMF1 while offering a larger blade and handle. This fixed blade knife features a 3.38-inch blade crafted from Elmax stainless steel with a fine satin finish which seamlessly extends from the skeletonized handle, which has removable brass scales. Enhanced with jimping along the spine and choil as well as a strategically placed front hole, this model offers ample grip and control in any weather conditions. With a total length of 6.5-inches and weighing in at 5.5 ounces, the GMF1-XL comes complete with a brown handmade leather sheath. Expertly crafted in Maniago, Italy.

We try to eliminate as much plastic from our packaging as possible and the cotton bags we use instead are not airtight. When brass gets in contact with air, oxidation will happen and patina on the metal's surface begins to happen. All in all; if you don’t like patina on your brass scales, this may not be the knife for you!
