Good knife 02/26/2017
By Scott
I've really come to appreciate small bladed knives more and more, like the CRKT Squid. Like that one, the Pilar feels like a much more expensive knife, one that has been designed with a lot of thought and care. Very smooth one handed opening and closing, very ergonomic handle: I especially like the second choil that is formed by the interface of the blade and the handle, allows for a high grip for delicate tasks. The blade is very solid at extension, and well centered in the handle.
Only con is weight. A plastic or G10 scale would solve that, but I do like the aesthetics of the steel scales.
Blade steel is fine for the price, is easily sharpened to a very good edge.
Overall great value for little money.

Great little big knife 04/21/2017
By phantom4
I've been using, collecting and carrying knives daily for 60 years and am very impressed with this little knife. It feels a lot bigger than it is. Great utility blade shape. It feels very solid and looks u well. Never been a fan of linerlocks but have come to love a good frame lock design and this is perfect example. Have only been carrying it a couple of weeks but it carries very well although it is surprisingly heavy for it's size but I consider that a plus because it is what makes it so solid. Comes reasonably sharp and due to my limited use of it so far can't comment on how it holds an edge. A no brainer at $24.

Great, solid knife... 03/23/2017
By bashfull
I am really liking these sheepsfoot knives. I also recently bought a Spyderco Roadie. These two knives are on different ends of the spectrum, however. The CRKT is on the heavy side; it is rock solid and you can feel it. The thickness of the blade is substantial. The Roadie is more delicate and detailed. These blades are great on a cutting board. The CRKT is an amazing value!

Too Small 09/11/2018
By Knife Guy
I bought two of these CRKT Pilar knives. Pros, cute, solid, thick blade, razor sharp out of the boxes. cons, heavy, pocket clip way tight, to small.Forward finger groove right next to the edge, easy to cut yourself if you have large hands.I will grind back of edge. Will give both away as gifts.

Perfect EDC 03/15/2017
By George Anderson
This is a perfect, if a little heavy, gem of a knife. The quality is excellent and in hand it's comfortable to use for even prolonged tasks. Blade is robust and holds a good edge. If you're looking for a compact, versatile EDC start your list here with this excellent new offering from CRKT.
