Columbia River Knife and Tool: CRKT M16-03KS Knife, CR-M1603KS


The CRKT M16-03KS Knife, designed by Kentucky knifemaker and innovator Kit Carson, is the latest iteration of the ever popular M16 EDC that features a 3.552" spear point blade made of 12C27 Sandvik stainless steel, .118" thick, with a non reflective black oxide finish, a notched thumb rest for secure grip, dual studs that lock up against the frame for superior strength against sideways torque, and the Carson Flipper for ambidextrous one hand opening. The black stainless steel handle, 4.658" closed, has drilled holes to lessen weight, sturdy frame lock, and a four position steel pocket clip. The M16-03KS Knife has an overall open length of 8.250", and it weighs 3.8 ounces.

Since I discovered Spyderco knives in the 80,s, I have been chasing the perfect EDC. Never have been thrilled with flippers until I tried this knife. Now I am very well pleased. Rarely do I purchase a second knife of any design, but I will this one. A seriously fine knife that locks up tight with no blade slop. Impressive to say the least. This is keeper!
