A piece of Lynn's legacy 01/07/2021
By Coyote
My two SRKs came razor sharp from the factory. They fit very tight in their sheaths, a bit hard to release, but CS has fixed the sheath rattle right out of the box. There is no need to heat and remould it, that is unless you want it looser. In my experience SK5 is very tough. My test of my Recon Scout SK5 that I batoned through several cords of hardwoods over three winters was finally damaged. A hairline crack on one side from the edge toward the spine approximately 1/4" long. I've retired it from any further abuse to avoid catastrophe, but I'm very confident in the SK5s toughness and CS's heat treatment. The SRKs are a great addition to my other CS SK5 knives; one Gurkha Kukri Plus and three Trail Masters. I recently added two Leatherneck SFs in D2. Lynn Thompson's legacy will live on for generations in my family.
