Cold Steel Knives: Cold Steel SR1 Knife, CS-62L

The Cold Steel SR1 Knife - a heavy duty folder designed in collaboration with Andrew Demko and based on the classic Cold Steel SRK, features a 4" beefy clip point blade made of CPM S35VN premium stainless steel, 4.5mm thick, with a satin finish, a top swedge, and dual thumb studs for ambidextrous one hand opening. The coarse textured OD Green G10 handle, 5 3/8" closed, has a pronounced finger groove and a curved pommel for secure grip, nested heat treated stainless steel liners for strength, the sturdy Tri-Ad Lock, a lanyard hole and a side to side reversible pocket clip mounted at the butt end. The Cold Steel SR1 has an overall open length of 9 3/8", and it weighs 7.3 ounces. Made in Taiwan.

SR1 the folding "fixed blade" 07/21/2017

I just love this beast. It's a tank..over built and if you are looking for a folder that won't fail when the going gets rough your in the right place. If your into the latest trend of lightweight titanium flippers look on..this isn't for you. 7 plus ounces of S35VN blade steel wrapped in a rugged g10 handle. Smooth action, large sized dual thumb studs and a generous sized pocket clip are the finishing touches making this the next level of durable excellence. It's in a class of its own other than a few select customs. It's not a 4-MAX it's a SR1. It's big, tough and it's capable of handling anything in its path..seriously it's a folding fix blade beast disguised as a folder. For 2017 in my opinion it's the best of Cold Steels offerings. Get this, or a couple of them in my case. One for the pocket and one for the "bag of kit"..this is one piece of kit I don't ever want to be without. Once the word gets out these might be hard to find.

The SR1 is a beast of a knife. I bought it for its blade quality, build strength and size. It’s no gentleman’s carry edc knife but a heavy weight beast for hard use. I carry a code 4 with dress pants due to its lighter weight and slim profile. For weekend carry outdoors or construction work it’s a top performer. Blade is razor sharp. Grips are well textured for excelllent grip. Big fan of the triad lock system for durability. Knife locks up tight when open with never any blade play. Fits well in the pocket. Opens with a quick flip. For the price it’s better than anything the competition can throw at it

Wow what a beat of a knife! Extremely overbuilt for defense and outdoors. Action is smooth, triad lock and blade is thick, excellent blade choice, one of the best knife Cold Steel has made so far.
