Knife is sharpened to a razor edge. This service is done on a 2" x 72" Burr King and finished on a Baldor buffer using a leather wheel. Blades are kept cool so overheating is not an issue. The illustrated Benchmade Knife is the Model 940 Benchmade Osborne Knife that features a 3.4" modified tanto blade made of S30V stainless steel, .115" thick. The blade of this Benchmade knife has dual thumb studs for ambidextrous one hand opening. The Model 940 Osborne Knife has a green anodized T6 aluminum handle, 4.47" closed, with a color anodized titanium back spacer, double stainless steel liners, and ambidextrous AXIS lock. A side to side reversible steel pocket clip is mounted at the butt end of this Benchmade knife. The Model 940 Benchmade Osborne Knife has an overall length of 7.87" when open, and weighs 2.90 ounces.

Great service and great knife 02/15/2020

When I ordered the knife I wanted some extra stuff laser engraved on the blade. A representative called and said that they could do it but the engraving would end up very small. I'm glad he called and allowed me to change the engraving because when the knife arrived it was very beautiful and the engraving was perfect. I have wanted a 940 for a while and the fact that I could customize it without adding to much to the cost really made the difference. The knife came sharp and ready to use.
