The MODIFIED Benchmade Bugout is a slim, lightweight everyday carry knife that is equally suitable for a pair of dress pants or a backpack. The 535GRY-1 Bugout features a 3.24 inch drop point blade made of CPM S30V stainless steel, .090 inch thick, with a Rockwell hardness of 58-60, a non reflective gray Cerakote finish with a top swedge and dual tan thumb studs for ambidextrous one hand opening. The ergonomic BLOOD RED RIT DYED Grivory handle, 4.22 inches closed, has checkered areas for secure grip, the ambidextrous AXIS Lock, a large lanyard hole and a side to side reversible discrete carry pocket clip mounted at the butt end. The MODIFIED Benchmade Bugout Knife has an overall open length of 7.46 inches, and it weighs only 1.85 ounces. Proudly made in the USA.

A Real Show Stopper 03/17/2019

This was my first modified knife from Knives Plus and I must say that the knife reassembly is just perfect. The blade is razor sharp, the blade is dead centered and the lock up is nice and tight with zero blade play. I bought my buddy a regular Bugout for his birthday and he loved it. I was going to get one but purchased other blades instead like the beautiful ZT 0562CF. When I saw this Blood Red with gold color hardware I was sold. The Dark Grey chromium nitride finish is first class and different than most finishes out there. Look it is a modified Benchmade that has a 3.24" CPMS30V steel blade and weights only 1.85oz. What's not to like? This blade is a real beauty. Hope this helps your buying decision. BWD Paddling Out.

This was my first modified blade for Knives Plus. The Blood Red handle with the gold hardware and Dark Grey chromium nitride is a real show stopper. The reassembly of the knife is perfect. The blade is center, lock up is tight with zero play and the action is buttery smooth. What is not to like? It is a Benchmade with 3.24" blade made of PMC S30V and weights in at around 1.85oz. I bought my buddy a regular blue Bugout and he loves his too but for my collection I wanted something a little bit different and I found it with this blade. I hope this helps your buying decision. Exceeded my expectations. I have a few knives almost all from different dealers/sites. Knives Plus was easy to order from and my knife was delivered in a very quick and timely fashion. The dye job was done very well, a very nice deep red. The smoked grey blade and clip look very nice with the red handle. I paid the extra $5 for it to be shaving sharp and it did not disappoint. It was put back together very well and is super smooth in deployment and drops shuts without effort with the axis lock.

Excellent knife with properly done modifications that made it only better!

I ordered the bugout because my friend had one and I was very impressed by its light weight and functionality. When I got this modified one from knives plus I was in love. When compared to the stock model, it’s just a gorgeous color and the blade is super sharp, a much more effective grind than the factory version. I can’t recommend the upgrade enough, my friend is jealous. Thanks!

Well done Knives Plus! This colour red is a perfect match with the stock hardware and blade on the 535-GRY. I was going to do this mod myself but adding the cost of the knife, rit dye, and a stainless steel pot there were no savings. The bonus of me not botching it up is priceless! This was my first purchase from Knives Plus but it won’t be my last!
