The illustrated KABAR knife is the KA-BAR USMC Fighting Utility Knife that features a 7" part serrated 1095 Cro-Van high carbon steel clip point blade with epoxy powder coat, blood groove and USMC tang stamp. Polished stacked leather washer handle with powder coated carbon steel guard and butt cap. A leather sheath with USMC embossment is included with this KABAR Knife. The USMC KABAR Fighting Utility Knife has an overall length of 11 7/8", and it weighs .70 pounds.

Solid quality on this modernized version of the iconic Type 2 Combat Utility Knife. I went with the serrated version for more utility when camping or other tasks (besides killing a bear or fighting a wildcat). I would recommend getting the extra plastic sheath. The knife locks securely into it & provides a means to quickly & safely draw it, without having to unsnap the handle strap. The only negative part I have found so far with this knife is that there are plastic spacer pieces at the pommel and guard ends of the handle. It is high density plastic and I doubt it will ever crack or degrade, but I wish they would have used leather pieces instead like some other makers do. I highly recommend the sharpening service. These guys are experts and my knife arrived razor sharp with a perfect edge that I doubt I would have been able to achieve. 5 stars for a solid knife but also for the great service and fast shipping of Knives Plus. The knife was sharpened & shipped within 2 days of my order!
