Forschner Knives: Forschner Block Set, 8 Piece Fibrox, FO-5.1193.8
The illustrated Forschner Kitchen Knife Block Set is the Forschner 8 Piece Block Set that features kitchen knives with blades made of high carbon stainless steel with the Victorinox Eagle Crest logo etch; and extremely durable black Fibrox handles that are approved by the National Sanitation Foundation. The Forschner 8 Piece Block Set with Fibrox handles includes a Paring Knife with 4" blade, a Boning Knife with 6" blade, a Chef's Knife with 8" blade, a Bread Knife with 8" wavy blade and a Slicer with 10" blade. A honing steel with black nylon handle and hanging ring, a pair of kitchen shears and a hardwood slant storage block with horizontal slots are included with this Forschner Block Set.
Forschner kitchen knives feature high-carbon stainless steel blades which are hand finished by Victorinox in Switzerland. A special tempering process produces an edge that can be resharpened again and again. All Victorinox handles are ergonomically designed to minimize wrist tension.
Editor's Note: Forschner Knives have been and continue to be manufactured by Victorinox in Switzerland. Recently, it has come to our attention that Victorinox no longer wishes to promote the name of Forschner. Neither the quality nor the value of the knives have changed. The only thing that has changed is the omitance of the name Forschner on the blade.
