The CIVIVI C804C Courser is a high quality value price EDC produced by CIVIVI, a subsidiary of WE Knife Company, that features a 3.45 inch drop point blade made of Japanese VG-10 stainless steel, .13 inches thick, with a Rockwell hardness of 59-61, a flat grind, satin finish, notched thumb rest for secure grip, and a flipper for ambidextrous one hand opening. The textured black G10 handle, 4.55 inches closed, has nested steel liners in a contrasting gold color for visual interest, pivot with ceramic ball bearing support for smooth opening, sturdy liner lock, notched G10 back spacer for strength, a lanyard hole, and a titanium pocket clip mounted at the butt end. The WE CIVIVI Courser Knife has an overall open length of 8 inches, and it weighs 3.4 ounces. Made in China.

The CIVIVI Courser is a good overall knife, it opens very quickly and locks up tight, I honed the already sharp blade with a fine black Arkansas stone and it quickly would shave. The knife comes with a small zippered case and a cleaning cloth. Th knife blade has no markings except a 1/32 inch high VG10 mark on the left lower side, the handle pivot bolt has a C design on it that's it. On the down side the blade handle scales are flat not contoured at all, only a small 3/32 round over on the edge, the gold colored liners are inset into the .200 thick G10 handle very close to the edge, I wonder if this might chip if dropped. This knife is fairly light at 3.4 oz. For the price its good to go, I like it better than some Benchmade knives of similar design. I like the knife a lot but I am going to forfeit the warranty and contour the G10 handle and remove a little more mass. Yes I would recommend this to a friend as well as Knives Plus.
