The illustrated Spyderco Knife is the Spyderco Rubicon Knife, designed by custom knife maker Peter Carey, that features a 3.04" spear point blade made of CPM S30V stainless steel, .138" thick. The blade of this Spyderco knife has a high hollow grind, a top swedge, the Spyderco hole and a Flipper for ambidextrous one hand opening. The carbon fiber handle, 4.36" closed, has skeletonized titanium liners, a liner lock, an orange G10 pivot accent, and an orange G10 backspacer. A removable metal pocket clip is mounted at the butt end of this Spyderco Knife. The Spyderco Rubicon Knife has an overall open length of 7.40" and it weighs 4.3 ounces. Made in Taiwan.

From the Spyderco website: The Rubicon's handle is built on a framework of skeletonized full titanium liners that provide exceptional strength to the knife's LinerLock mechanism. The thick liners are covered with three-dimensionally-machined solid carbon fiber scales that are polished to a high finish to reveal the multi-layered matrix of this premium material. The special three-lobed blade pivot is accented by circular orange G-10 inlays on both sides of the handle and balanced by a matching orange G-10 spacer in the handle. A broad, contoured titanium pocket clip supports right-side, tip-up carry and ensures that the knife is always readily accessible when you need it.
