From Spyderco: The Shaman has a well-deserved reputation as one of Spyderco's most robust and capable folding knives. Building on that hard-earned trust, we are proud to introduce the Shaman Lightweight. It faithfully delivers all the proven performance and design features of the original, but in a lighter, more affordable format. The handle scales of the Shaman Lightweight feature the same comfortably radiused shape as the original, but are injection molded from resilient fiberglass-reinforced nylon (FRN). This reduces the knife's overall weight by nine percent and adds a pebbled texture for an enhanced grip. The scales house nested, skeletonized stainless steel liners that provide outstanding structural strength and form the backbone of the knife's high-strength Compression lock mechanism. That ultra-reliable lock supports a full-flat ground CTS BD1N stainless steel blade, which is available in both PlainEdge and fully serrated SpyderEdge configurations. A four-position pocket clip completes the package, allowing this remarkable knife to be carried tip-up or tip-down on either side of the body.
