Spyderco Assist Knife with Carbide Tip features a Carbide Tipped glass breaker, and an emergency whistle built into the handle! The Spyderco Assist with Carbide Tip features a 3.68" VG10 stainless steel sheepsfoot blade with mostly serrated edge, a waved spine for controlled finger positioning, and Spyderco hole with Cobra Hood for ambidextrous one hand opening-even with gloved hands. (The Cobra Hood also serves as a textured thumb rest.) The black fiber reinforced nylon resin handle is 4.87" closed, and features the aforementioned integral emergency whistle (marked by the Hunter Orange colored area), and Carbide Tip glass breaker, contoured finger grooves, and angled Spyderco dimple texturing for maximum grip. The locking mechanism of the Assist with Carbide Tip rescue knife is a centered lock back configuration, with a Boye Dent cut out-to help prevent accidental disengagement. The Assist with Carbide Tip comes with a front to back reversible stainless steel wire pocket clip (conveniently designed to be tightened with two nickels), that is mounted at the butt end.
