The illustrated Spyderco Knife is the Spyderco Saver Salt 79mm Knife that features a 3.09" serrated sheepfoot blade made of H-1 steel. The blade of this Spyderco knife has a notched thumb ramp for secure grip, and a Spyderco hole for ambidextrous one hand opening. The opening hole is enlarged for easy opening, even with gloved or wet hands. The contoured black fiber reinforced nylon handle, 4.09" closed, has Volcano Grip texturing, Boye Dent lock back, lanyard hole, and a black metal pocket clip. The clip is mounted at the butt end, it is reversible from side to side, and it is designed to be tightened with two nickels. The Spyderco Saver Salt 79mm with black handle has an overall open length of 7.18".
The Spyderco Saver Salt 79mm Knife has a blade made out of a PH (precipitation hardened) steel that doesn't rust. H1 steel is naturally hard, and it will hold a sharpened cutting edge equivalent to many carbon steels. H1 has 1 percent nitrogen instead of carbon, so it cannot rust.
