From the Spyderco Archives: The Spyderco Sprint Run Jester is a winner in the world of small knives. Designing ergonomic keychain-sized knives that are comfortable to grip and cut with great precision presents knife designers with a challenge. Rather than simply shrinking down a full-sized folder to key-chain proportions, Spyderco designed the Jester from the bottom up, focusing on its small stature and adding features that make the knife feel and cut like a larger knife in the hand.

These large knife ergonomics are achieved by including an arrangement of angled points along the underside of the pinned gray G-10 handle that fit, glove-like, in the hand to enhance grip and control.

The blade is hollow-ground VG-10 stainless steel with textured jimping above the opening hole and also near the tip. Jimping near the hole provides decisive control over the handle and jimping on the tip creates tactile resistance and a spot to lay the index finger or thumb over. With the index finger or thumb blanketing the blade's spine, controlling the very tip of the blade to make intricate and detailed cuts is easier.

The Jester Sprint Run is clip-less with a piped lanyard hole that can accommodate a key-ring or it can be comfortably carried in the bottom of a pocket or a purse.
