The Spyderco Salt 2 combines the rust proof nitrogen based H-1 steel blade of the original Salt knife with the ergonomic handle of the popular Delica 4. This Salt 2 Knife features a 3.0" modified sheepfoot blade made of rust proof H-1 steel, .098" thick, with a hollow grind, a notched thumb ramp for secure grip, and an oversized Spyderco hole for ambidextrous one hand opening. The ergonomic bright yellow FRN (fiberglass reinforced nylon) handle, 4.25" closed, has non slip Bi-Directional Texturing, sturdy lockback, a lanyard hole, and a side to side and end to end reversible titanium pocket clip. The Spyderco Salt 2 Knife has an overall open length of 7.25", and it weighs 2.1 ounces. Made in Japan.

I ordered this knife with engraving on the blade on a Saturday. It arrived on Monday with free shipping. I bought it because I spend a lot of time on the water, particularly salt water and nothing is as offensive as as a sailor with a rusty knife. I have submerged it on multiple occasions and have seen no visible rust. I keep my knives razor sharp. I suspect the metallurgy required to to make this blade nearly rustproof also prevents you from putting that best edge on it. That said, I’ll happily trade a bit of that razor like edge that I prefer for some this that is still super sharp but still resistant to oxidation. This is my first spyderco and I didn’t care for the “tactical” look. Although the texture of the grip tends to collect dirt, it is super grippy even with wet hands and still cleans up nicely. The handle seemed pretty light weight which isn’t a problem for me generally - I’m not doing rough work - it has held up surprisingly well. Overall I’m very pleased with
