Knife is sharpened to a razor edge. This service is done on a 2" x 72" Burr King and finished on a Baldor buffer using a leather wheel. Blades are kept cool so overheating is not an issue. This Spyderco Para Military 2 Knife features a 3.47" modified clip point blade made of Carpenter Technology Corporation's Micro-Melt Maxamet tool steel, .145" thick, with a satin finish, a notched choil and thumb ramp for secure grip, and the Spyderco hole for ambidextrous one hand opening. The contoured, textured dark gray G10 handle, 4.82" closed, comes with a nested Compression Lock, a lined lanyard hole, and a side to side and end to end reversible steel pocket clip. The Spyderco Para Military 2 Knife has an overall open length of 8.29", and it weighs 3.8 ounces. Made in the USA.

First off this blade is not so brittle that you can't use it as an EDC. Now that myth is put to bed, it also isn't the very worst to sharpen easy. Yes, not easy, but not the most difficult either. You literally can not blunt the edge on thus thing, unless you do some type of jackassery stunt. I highly recommend this knife for any serious EDC use or just for any knife nerd or enthusiast.

This is an excellent knife, the steel is truly superior to others that I have experienced as S90V, M390, M4, Elmax...

I don't give it 5 stars only because one screw from the clip got broken when I was changing the orientation of the clip. Also the scales in G10 are not a good pair for this knife.

The Maxamet steel in this knife is outstanding at edge retention. My second Spyderco Para Military 2 Maxamet from Knives Plus (a backup for my other knife) and Knives Plus sharpened both. Outstanding service from a company I have purchased from many times. Five stars for Spyderco and Knives Plus.

The knife is quality as you can expect from spyderco. But what should be mentioned is the shipping it was super fast and I had an issue with shipping on my part they took care of it without having to even ask. Awesome company will definitely buy my knife's from (knivesplus) from now on.
