The C223PBK Spyderco Para 3 Lightweight Knife - the lastest iteration of the fiendishly popular Para 3, features a 2.92 inch modified clip point blade made of CTS BD1N stainless steel, .145 inch thick, with a full flat grind, a notched choil and thumb ramp for secure grip, and the Spyderco hole for ambidextrous one hand opening. The black FRN (fiberglass reinforced nylon) handle, 4.29 inches closed, has Bi-Directional Texturing for secure purchase, sturdy Compression Lock, a lanyard hole, and a side to side reversible wire clip mounted at the butt end. The Spyderco Para 3 Lightweight Knife has an overall open length of 7.21 inches and it weighs 2.4 ounces. Made in the USA.

First of, Knives Plus was Awesome. I had my knife within a week from order. They had them in stock, when the big competitors were sold out. I would buy from them again.

This is my second Spyderco and probably my favorite. The first model is the classic C07S, it was heavy and to long for duty preference. The Para 3 LW is just that “LIGHT.” The length size is perfect. I have a full grasp of the handle. The blade is a plain straight edge, which I prefer. I like the deep pocket clip that fits nicely in my sap pocket.

I am now a Spyderco Para 3 fanboy. I carry my LW off and on duty. My next purchase is going to be the Para 3 w/ G10. Of course, the purchase would be through Knives Plus.

Within the past year I got a G-10 Para 3 folder. I like it a lot and when I heard that they were going to come out with the lightweight version, I knew I would get one. It's a great daily carry knife that is indeed lightweight with very smooth action, great lock and a fantastic blade. It feels solid and well made. The handle material and grip are comfortable and secure. I can't think of a thing I don't like about it. I've been a customer of KnivesPlus since the early 1990s and have always had great service and fast shipping.

Scales need sanding 09/02/2019

I was excited to receive the new lightweight Para 3. Upon holding it in my hand the sharpness of the scales was immediately apparent. I liken the sharp edges to a lower quality product. So I took it apart and sanded the sharp edges smooth. Now it feels like I think it should. After that treatment I like the feel in the hand. The compression lock makes it a one hander. The bidirectional scales, jimping and the front finger choil all make for a fine package. Worth the 91.00? Yep, I would recommend it to a friend.

I purchased two of these as a parting gift for soldiers in my unit, the engraving was very clear and well placed. The spyderco para 3 lightweight is also a great knife ready for any job.
