24OT Old Timer 06/05/2017
By Robert Thomas
A great tool at a price that surprised me. I'd been looking at the Flexcut carver for some time, but was not willing to pay the price. The steel choice seems appropriate. The handle is 4.3" long and fills the hand for a solid grip. I personally like the brass and bone look. The build quality is very good. If you were picky you may want to buff the brass a little. Mine will be a tool, and not a showpiece. Care must be taken in moving the tools into position, as due to tool shapes and locations, one tool may need to be opened in order to access and open another. The tools do not lock in the open position. Caution advised while using the straight tools, the gouge and chisel, again, non-locking. My interest was for a folder with much more capability, for pocket or pack. Woodcraft, bushcraft, staff carving, traps and triggers, tool handle fabrication, are some of the intended uses. Overall I am very pleased and would purchase again.

Nice little tool set in a knife body 06/02/2017
By Neko2
I went into this knowing that for the price it wasn't going to be like a set of Two Cherries in my pocket and while that is true it's a nice pocketable carving set.

Pros:
The steel took a super sharp edge with a little work on Spyderco fine stones and a strop. It was making nice thin curls off a fresh block of basswood.

Nice selection of chisel shapes, blades and even a curved blade for hollowing.

Not obnoxious in my pocket.

Seems to be put together well overall.

Cons
The springs are a bit soft so you have to choke up on the chisels n gouges so it doesn't try and close on you.

Overall if you like tinkering with wood I'd recommend this knife. It's fun to play with and you can get some good results away from the workbench if you actually have the skill.

Great budget carving jack 04/17/2017
By Chris Bigelow
I bought this knife after seeing a few others had also purchased it as well on Instagram and bcusa, as an alternative to the flexcut carving jack. This is a great budget alternative for carving in the field. I've carved two spoons and a spatula with it since I got it and it works very very well. Very useful tools that are sturdier than I thought they would be. It was also shaving sharp on all tool edges right out of the box, and is easy to sharpen as long as you have a strop or ceramin rod to maintain the edge.
For the price, this is an amazing tool every woodsman that enjoys carving should have. Knives plus has the lowest price on this model I could find, and they shipped fast. I will do business with them again!

Old Timer 24OT Carver 04/05/2017
By craig grover
IMO this is a good buy. Regardless of COA, the utility you get for the price is great. There may be higher quality tools available but at a higher price as well. Materials, fit and finish are all very nice and the blades hold an adequate edge. My only nit is that I think the springs are a bit soft and that the knife would benefit from stronger pressure on the open blades. I would recommend this to friends looking for and affordable folding carver. Both novices and pros should find the 240T a useful addition to the tool kit. I will rate it high because what you get for the price, to me it's a good deal.

Good tool for the price 12/31/2017
By Muskeg
Great knife design that stacks up well against it's high priced competitor. Don't expect it to be ready to carve with out of the box. Take the time to strop all tools to sharpness first and I think that you'll be pleased with the knife you got for the price. Tools are well designed. Blades do not rub or touch each other in such a way to dull any edges. Handle edges are sharp but that is easily fixed with a little sandpaper. It will find a place in my ruck in the field.
