The Benchmade Osborne 940 Knife has been a highly regarded every day carry for many years. This MODIFIED Osborne 940 features AN ACID STONEWASHED 3.40" reverse tanto blade made of CPM S30V stainless steel, .115" thick, with a Rockwell hardness of 58-60, with a top swedge, and dual thumb studs for ambidextrous one hand opening. The black G10 handle, 4.47" closed, has ergonomic milled contouring for secure grip, the ambidextrous AXIS Lock, green anodized barrel spacers for visual interest, and a side to side reversible pocket clip mounted at the butt end. The MODIFIED Benchmade Osborne 940 Knife with G10 handle has an overall open length of 7.87", and it weighs 2.65 ounces. Proudly made in the USA.

I just got this stonewashed 940-2 03/29/2018

I just ordered and received this stonewashed Benchmade 940-2. When I ordered the knife I wrote in the comments at check out for Knives Plus to make sure that blade centering was perfect and that the blade was free dropping. The next business day I got a call from Knives Plus saying that the 940-2 they were going to send me had centering that was slightly off, but the axis lock was smooth/worked good. When I got the knife in hand I was blown away!!! The stonewashed blade not only looked amazing, but the blade centering was actually perfect. Then when I opened the blade it was completely free dropping like a guillotine(smoothest axis lock I every seen/used). No lick stick at all. Knives Plus has great customer service and good communication with their customers. They not only modded this 940-2 they really worked on the knifes action/how knife works. Could not be any happier!!!

Upon receiving the knife everything looked good. Then I noticed side to side blade play and had to tighten up the pivot.
