Cold Steel Knives: Cold Steel Safe Maker II Knife, CS-12DCST

The Cold Steel Safe Maker II Knife - a compact push dagger designed by Lynn Thompson, features a 3 1/4" double edge spear point fixed blade made of Japanese AUS 8A stainless steel, 4.6mm thick, with a stonewash finish and a fuller. The Safe Maker II has full tang construction for strength, and a T handle with checkered black Kray-Ex overmold for secure grip. A Secure-Ex boot / belt sheath is included. The Cold Steel Safe Maker II Knife has an overall length of 5" and it weighs 2.3 ounces. Made in Taiwan.

I purchased this knife to be my last resort self-defense weapon, while at work. I hope that I never need to use it. But it's reassuring to know that I have it. The knife's design allows me to have more control over it than other conventional knife handles. The sheath securely holds the blade in place (hint: a belt is required to hold the sheath in place while drawing the knife). I later purchased the Urban Edge (Neck Knife) to wear off-duty.

My first Cold Steel knife
The handle fits my hand very well
The blade came very sharp. Just a little touch up and I got it very, very sharp. Wasn't expecting a single bevel edge but it was actually easier to sharpen than I expected. I'll most likely make a neck strap out of parecord.
For the price I'm very pleased. Also delivery was very fast

I really like the quick access of the Safe Maker and sheath. I enhanced mine with the Cold Steel clip. The knife itself feels comfortable and stable in the hand. I bought two more for my adult children. Great knife that I would recommend for work, outdoor activity and for defensive measures in these unstable times. God bless America.

Exactly what I was looking for at a very reasonable price. Hard to improve on the factory tip and edge, but I put it on a leather strop for a bit and really brought out the edge. A little stiff coming out of the sheath, but after continued practicing, removal is getting smooth. Neckchain is light duty. Overall though, I'm very pleased.

I purchased the Cold Steel Safe Maker 2; and I am very pleased with both the product and Knives Plus experience. The push dagger has unparalleled quality and is easily concealed. I ordered from Knives Plus on a Sunday and had the knife in my hands by Wednesday. Can’t beat that.
