The LIN-1130 Large Inkosi Knife, designed by Chris Reeve and manufactured by Chris Reeve Knives, features a 3.6-inch CPM MagnaCut stainless steel tanto blade, .14-inch thick, with a special large hollow grind for strength, a stonewash finish, a notched thumb rest for secure grip, and dual blue anodized titanium thumb studs for ambidextrous one hand opening. The 6AL4V titanium handle, 4.8-inches closed, has a glass blasted finish for secure grip, sturdy pivot with large pivot screw and pin, oversized bronze phosphor washers to eliminate sideways blade play, and the innovative Reeve Ceramic Ball End Integral Lock that uses a ceramic ball as an interface for the lock bar to the blade tang for consistent solid lock up. (The ball also drops into a detent on the blade to ensure the blade does not open accidentally.) The handle has open frame construction, a lanyard post, and a removable pocket clip mounted at the butt end. The Large Inkosi has an overall open length of 8.4-inches, and it weighs 4.96 ounces. Proudly made in the USA.
From Chris Reeve: The Inkosi pushes the characteristics of the Integral Lock®, blade strength, pivot and lock tolerances as well as overall ergonomics. A 97 RC ceramic ball runs interface between the Integral Lock® bar end and tang of the blade, preventing wear and ensuring accurate lock up for the knife's lifetime. Blending the benefits of a flat grind and hollow grind, the blade’s 20” hollow grind provides a thick stock and overall strength. Available with a drop point, insingo, or tanto blade in Large or Small. All models are available with a dedicated left or right-handed orientation.
