Chris Reeve Large Sebenza 31 - Stonewash Insingo - Black Canvas Micarta / Glass Blasted Titanium

The L31-1224 Chris Reeve Large Sebenza 31 features a 3.61-inch insingo blade made of premium CPM MagnaCut stainless steel, .12-inch thick, with a stonewash finish, a notched thumb rest for secure grip, and a thumb stud for one hand opening. The ergonomic titanium handle, 4.79-inches closed, is glass blasted with black canvas Micarta inlays, sturdy Reeve Integral Lock with Ceramic Ball Interface, a lanyard, and an offset titanium pocket clip mounted at the butt end. The Large Sebenza 31 has an overall open length of 8.40-inches, and it weighs 4.7 ounces. Proudly made in the USA.
From the Chris Reeve site: The idea behind the Sebenza has never wavered: to craft the best pocket knife in the world. Premium materials, paired with pristine finishes, and a bank-vault lock-up - all within an incredibly light, precision-made tool. That commitment continues with the new Sebenza 31 with a Ceramic Ball Interface. Like the very first Sebenza, it delivers the same warm "click" and heirloom quality produced from aerospace tolerances. The Sebenza 31 brings finer details to an already fine knife - and another steady, reliable step forward.

I’m a recent convert to CRK, and this might be the perfect version if you plan on hard use. The workmanship is, of course, flawless and the Insingo blade (while admittedly ugly) is so very, very functional at almost any task. The top swedge scrapes, and the Magnacut main edge comes sharp out of the box and ready to slice. The micarta looks good and fills the hand nicely for harder tasks, and looks great no matter what you get on it. The glass blast looks and feels better than the sand blast, with just a little less gripe-ability. Worth the cost.
