The illustrated Old Hickory Knife is the Old Hickory Butcher Knife that features a 10" blade made of carbon steel. This Butcher Knife has full tang construction with brass riveted hardwood handle scales. The Old Hickory Butcher Knife with 10" blade has an overall length of 15". Made in the USA.

Caution, high carbon steel will rust if not properly cared for. Clean and oil after use, and keep out of the dishwasher.

This is a good utility knife. Don't expect fine detail work from this 10" butcher. that said, it's an Old Hick and has been around for a long time for good reason. It does what it was designed to do and then some. Furthermore, the service and price point at Knives Plus cannot be beaten in my limited experience. The custom engraving is pretty cool too though much smaller than I expected. Not an issue just know what you're paying the $8 bucks for.

The engraved knife I bought for my son was perfect.
The strop is exactly what I needed fo my knives to take them to the next level of sharpness.
I was disappointed a little in the knife I got for my self the handle is a little loose but I figure a couple of whacks on an anvil on the brads will tighten it up.

Old Hickory has produced great knives for decades. I have my Mother's Old Hickory knives from when I was a child, so purchasing new knives was a easy choice. They come out of the box sharpened, a sturdy handle and great weight balance

Just purchased a second one for a friend. I love this knife. I primarily use it for slicing fresh pineapple, slicing ribs, and butterflying whole chickens.
