Spyderco Knives: Spyderco Techno 2 Knife, SP-C158TIP2

The C158TIP2 Spyderco Techno 2 knife is a slimmer version of the original Techno compact powerhouse, designed by Polish custom knifemaker Marcin Slysz, that features a 2.55 inch beefy sheepfoot blade made of CTS XHP stainless steel, .138 inches thick, with a high saber grind, a swedged tip, notched thumb rest for secure grip, and the Spyderco Trademark Round Hole for ambidextrous one hand opening. The matte titanium handle, 3.44 inches closed, has the sturdy R.I.L. Reeve Integral Lock, color anodized standoffs, a lanyard hole, and a side to side reversible wire clip mounted at the butt end. The Spyderco Techno 2 Knife has an overall open length of 5.99 inches, and it weighs 3.4 ounces. Made in Taiwan.

This knife has smooth action and solid lockup. The green barrel spacers look great. Possibly the thing I like the best is the stonewash finish on the blade. It's difficult to see in photos but is very attractive in person. Arrived shaving sharp. The quality on Spyderco's Taiwan made knives is simply outstanding and the Techno 2 continues that tradition.

So pleased with the look and feel of the techno 2. Right out the box it came slicey as can be and the re worked handle and blade are noticeably different from the techno 1 once in hand. Mahalo’s Knives Plus.
