The illustrated Spyderco Knife is the Spyderco Caly 3 Knife that features a 3.0" blade made of HAP40 / SUS410 composite steel, .118" thick. The blade of this Spyderco knife has a flat grind, a notched thumb ramp for secure grip, and the Spyderco hole for ambidextrous one hand opening. The green G10 handle, 4.03" closed, has a lockback. A side to side reversible wire clip is mounted at the butt end of this Spyderco Knife. The Spyderco Caly 3 Knife with HAP40 SUS410 blade has an overall open length of 7.03", and it weighs 4.1 ounces. Limited quantities, made in Japan.
From the Spyderco website: The Caly 3 is a refined, all-purpose folder that enjoys a near cult following among seasoned Spyderco fans. To give that dedicated audience something truly special, we decided to spice it up with a laminated blade featuring a high-performance HAP40 powdered metallurgy tool steel core and SUS410 martensitic stainless steel outer layers. Textured green G-10 scales provide non-slip grip and further differentiate the Sprint Run version of the Caly 3 from the standard version.

Very well built knife. It was a bit gritty opening at first but some WD40 on the pivot and all is well. I don't think you could get it any sharper than it came. It doesn't weight 4.1oz but 3.0oz. I wish it was made in the USA but I've bought enough US made knifes this year to justify this.

Amazing knife that's Hard to find. Signed up for KP email in stock alert and was lucky to be by my computer when the email came in that they were in stock. The hap40 steel is razor sharp out of the box and the green g10? Awesome! Grab one if and when you can.
