Columbia River Knife and Tool: CRKT Directive Drop Point Knife, CR-1063

The CRKT Directive Drop Point, designed by Wisconsin knifemaker Matthew Lerch, features a 3.624" blade made of 8Cr14MoV stainless steel, .136" thick, with a Rockwell hardness of 58-60, a non reflective black oxide finish and a notched thumb rest for secure purchase. The two tone black GRN (glass reinforced nylon) handle, 4.828" closed, has grooves and notches for secure grip, a notched backspacer for strength, a liner lock, large lanyard hole, and a four position pocket clip. The Directive Drop Point Knife has an overall open length of 8.438", and it weighs 4.4 ounces. Made in China.

I purchased this knife not knowing what to expect, the thing that pulled me in was two fold, the price and the blade style. I also purchased this knife in the warncliff blade style. To say I was pleasantly is surprised is an understatement. The handle is very well done for my XXL hand with ample grip and best of all it's pure CRKT, smooth and slick for a knife. I and a CRKT convert and while all the models are not up to my standards several have actions worth much more than what you pay for and the Directive models are just that.

Bought this after reading many reviews on several other sites. Great knife, unfortunately, the flipper was nearly impossible to open with one finger. I am not a weak person, nor do I have any issues with my hands, but this was simply ridiculous to open with one hand. Other than that, this is a great knife.

Love the knife. Got it for my daughter. She lives in NYC and with all the unrest lately wanted her to have something for protection just in case. Standard shipping was really fast, she had it in two days. Whole experience could not have been easier:))
