DMT Knife Sharpener, D2 Coarse Dia-Sharp Mini-Hone Knife Sharpener has a tempered spring steel/tapered front end that forms an extended Easy Access Tip; ideal for honing in tight places and tough access edges.
DMT Dia-Sharp Knife Sharpeners are continuous diamond surface sharpening stones. DMT uses 325 grit Monocrystalline diamonds that are securely bonded in nickel, and then electroplated onto a solid stainless steel plate. The uninterrupted diamond sharpening surface makes a Dia-Sharp knife sharpener an ideal tool for putting a razor edge on knives, as well as pointed tools, and tools with a small contact area.
Unlike a conventional knife sharpener, a DMT Dia-Sharp Knife Sharpener stays perfectly flat for precise sharpening, won't develop grooves or hollows, and never needs dressing. They work perfectly well dry, but water may be used as a lubricant. Oil is not recommended.
A diamond knife sharpener is almost a requirement to cut and finish today's high-tech, high-chrome blade steels that can easily reach 60-62 Rockwell. If you have had a hard time sharpening stainless steel, and are currently using Arkansas or similar stones, switching to a diamond knife sharpener may solve your problem.
