Kershaw Knives: Kershaw Decimus Knife, KE-1559


The Kershaw Decimus Knife - a distinctive EDC designed by Rick Hinderer (based on his Maximus Folder), features a 3.25" spear point blade made of 8Cr13MoV stainless steel with a black oxide BlackWash finish, a bayonet grind with weight reducing top swedge, a flipper and SpeedSafe Assist for ambidextrous one hand opening. The sleek stonewashed steel handle, 4.25" closed, has ergonomic contours and textured black GFN overlays for secure grip, a protrusion on the spine that mirrors the flipper (creating a small finger guard for added safety), a frame lock and a side to side reversible pocket clip mounted at the butt end. The Kershaw Decimus Knife has an overall open length of 7.5", and it weighs 4.5 ounces.

Outstanding Quality and Good Price Point

I absolutely love the Kershaw Decimus. The quality of this knife cannot be beat for this price point. This can be an EDC or even just a conversation starter. The assisted open action is smooth, the blade keeps a keen edge and the ergonomic design is second to none. It's so light, I often forget it's in my pocket! Kershaw really hit gold with the Decimus. I highly recommend.

Beautiful and Functional

I waited for this knife to be back in stock and am very pleased when it was offered again. It has a unique blend of styles. The spear point blade is something I haven’t seen in a folder and better yet Kershaw’s SpeedSafe assisted opening system. It fits in your pocket but won’t hurt your wallet.

This is a unique folder design that is slim but has a stout blade. It fits well in the hand and sits low in the pocket. The tip up oriented carry is ideal with the Kershaw SpeedSafe opening. It’s a good knife to add to your collection.

Ive always like symmetrical knife bodies, but it's hard to come by a nice once. This knife fits the criteria perfectly. It was also cheap due to the really good sale, which makes it easier to use as an everyday carry.

Solid, very sharp. Appearance slightly deceiving since not a dagger with 2 sharp edges. only one sharp edge. good flip mechanism. frame lock works well. i love sting knives and this reminds me of them!
