Columbia River Knife and Tool: CRKT Fulcrum 2 Knife, CR-7435

The illustrated CRKT Knife is the CRKT Fulcrum 2 Knife, designed by Russ Kommer, that features a 3.18" spear point blade made of 8Cr13MoV stainless steel, .111" thick, with a Rockwell hardness of 55-58. The blade of this CRKT Knife has a Titanium Nitride finish, a notched thumb rest for secure grip, and the innovative Fulcrum Action Opening Mechanism. The black carbon fiber patterened GRN (glass reinforced nylon) handle, 4.429" closed, has a checkered stainless steel bolster and a liner lock. A removable steel pocket clip is mounted at the pivot end of this CRKT Knife. The CRKT Fulcrum 2 Knife has an overall open length of 7.645", and it weighs 4.7 ounces.

What sold me on this particular knife is - I couldn't open it. (Friend showed me his knife.) Neither could ten other guys at my gun club open it. It has a unique (one hand) opening system, (patented), unlike any other 'trick knife' I have ever seen. One machinist / toolmaker did manage to find the way to open it, after about ten minutes. I liked it so much, I ordered one, then bought another in the smaller 'compact' size. Very pleased with the overall quality, fit & finish. It's a helluva conversation starter, and could probably win a few 'bar bets' on who can / can't open it, just saying. I will no doubt, buy several of these in the future for special gifts for knife lovers. It doesn't come with directions, hint - if you really "can't" open it, search the web for directions. Very pleased with it, and will be back for several more of the same. Buy both sizes, you're gonna love 'em. Ten thumbs up! My new favorite EDC.

I've been looking for this knife for a while. It's a unique knife made by a great company. The price was great, and shipping was fast. Would recommend to everyone. Opening is easy, with practice. My other CRKT Endorser is my primary EDC because it's dependability in opening. The Fulcrum 2 is my back up.

Its very cool. Handle jiggles a little in locked position. No big deal. When you open it one swift motion it's the most amzing thing you've ever seen. Lots of fun at the bar! The game is called open it! Only one winner so far.
