Columbia River Knife and Tool: CRKT Strafe Knife, CR-1210


The CRKT Strafe Knife, designed by New Mexico knifemaker Lucas Burnley, features a 4.612" classic tanto style fixed blade made of 8Cr13MoV stainless steel, .184" thick, with a Rockwell hardness of 56-58, a stonewash finish and a swedged spine. The Strafe has full tang construction for strength, a notched thumb rest and black GRN (glass reinforced nylon) scales with triangular shape and dimpled texturing for secure grip, and a lanyard hole. A molded GRN sheath with J-Hook is included. The Strafe Knife has an overall length of 9.5", and it weighs 6.5 ounces. Made in China.

The knife is well-balanced, and comes with a great edge. A little big to be an EDC knife (for my tastes) but definitely a good self-defense knife. The sheath is OK, but the J hook attachment is worthless - I replaced it with a standard belt loop. In all, a good knife for the price.

Practical Everyday Blade

This is an exceptional knife for size and convenient carry. It is agile in the hand in any position. It is a full sized knife not a dinky small one only good for ease of carry but not functional in the field. A practical everyday carry blade.
