Boker Knives: Boker Bullpup Knife, BK-01BO311

The illustrated Boker Knife is the Boker Plus Bullpup Knife, designed by Charles Marlowe, that features a 3 3/8" clip point blade made of VG10 stainless steel. The blade of this Boker Knife has a hollow grind, a matte finish and an angled thumb stud for smooth ambidextrous one hand opening. The handle, 4 1/8" closed, has steel liners for strength, a matte finished titanium bolster with notched thumb rest and sand blasted canvas micarta scales for secure grip, a liner lock and a lanyard hole. An end to end reversible metal pocket clip is included with this Boker Knife. The Boker Plus Bullpup Knife has an overall open length of 7 1/4", and it weighs 5.1 ounces. Imported from Taiwan.

From the Boker website: ... The hollow-ground clip point blade, which is also made from VG-10 on the Bullpup, is stout yet elegant, and the lines of the entire knife reveal the skilled hand of Charles Marlowe. The Bullpup as well is equipped with a linerlock and titanium bolsters, and the short clip is adjustable (tip up / tip down). The scales are made from sand blasted canvas mircata and contribute their part to the excellent grip.

One of Boker's better efforts!

Very solidly built and attractive with extra nice canvas micarta scales. I like the blade tip down since the clip is less noticeable in the hand. however, there is a tip up option. This could certainly tackle some heavy cutting jobs, but frankly you may want to use sparingly to keep it looking nice. A few minor dings: lanyard hole seems to be an afterthought; thumb stud is kershaw blur style, but not really angled enough; clip holes not drilled for lefties.
