Although the assembly was a little sloppy on this particular knife, it was nothing a file and a few minutes couldn't cure.

The edge grind was sharp and true, and the knife is resigned to for purpose only!

If you like the traditional designe this knife offers, don't be shy about getting one. Chinese knife steel is getting better and better all the time so long as you understand it's minuscule weaknesses compared to more expensive steels that are out there. Don't be a "Snob" in this regard! For the price of these Old Timer knives, and the value they offer, you've nothing to complain about. I have quite a few Old Timer knives, and love and appriciate all of them.
