The illustrated CRKT tomahawk is the CRKT Woods Chogan T-Hawk, designed by Ryan Johnson of RMJ Tactical, that features a 7.75" long head made of hot forged 1055 carbon steel, .52" thick, with a Rockwell hardness of 50-55, a 3.5" long cutting edge. The head of this CRKT tomahawk has primary and secondary edge bevels for cutting ease, a hammer back, and a non reflective hammer finish. The handle of this CRKT Tomahawk is made of Tennessee Hickory. The CRKT Woods Chogan T-Hawk has an overall length of 19.13", and it weighs 2 pounds, 1.4 ounces.
From the CRKT website: The Woods Chogan™ is made from a solid chunk of 1055 carbon steel that is hot forged into a rock-solid head and features a hammer finish. The t-hawk has primary and secondary edge bevels that are flat ground to cut through timber like a beaver. A hammer head is useful for pounding in nails and tent stakes.
The thick wood handle is made in the USA from Tennessee hickory. It's comfortable in hand and sealed with a lacquer coat that adds durability when you're in the backcountry.
