Columbia River Knife and Tool: CRKT Birler Axe, CR-2745
The illustrated CRKT Axe is the CRKT Birler Axe; a compact pack axe designed by Elmer Roush as part of the Forged by War program, that features a 5.165" axe head made of 1055 carbon steel, 1.113" thick, with a Rockwell hardness of 50-55, and a silver clear satin finish. The Birler Axe has an ergonomic Tennessee Hickory handle. The CRKT Birler Axe has an overall length of 16", and it weighs 10.3 ounces.
As part of the Forged By War program, 10 percent of the CRKT net profits from the Birler will be donated to Elmer Roush's charity of choice.
