Great knife for any environment06/05/2015 ByBriGuy I was looking for a Kabar that I can take anywhere - hiking, fishing, camping, canoeing, etc...I already have a USMC fighting knife 7 inch with the leather handle and the small tanto with kraton handle. Both great knives, but each with an issue. The USMC 7" blade is not legal to carry everywhere, and I worried about ruining the leather handle with repeated water exposure - otherwise its the best knife ever. The small tanto's handle is a bit anemic for my hand, and it's not comfortable for hard use. The Mark I with kraton handle eliminates all the issues I have with the other two. The knife appears indestructible and I don't have to worry about ruining it with water, plus it's of legal size to carry. The handle is sized perfectly and is very comfortable. I love Kabar knives and probably will never buy another brand of knife.
