Great for reprofiling04/26/2019 ByClifford Doyle Great for reprofiling. I have the KNE sharpening system. KME’s diamond stones, although admittedly a cut above this DMT stone, cost more than twice as much. Once a diamond stone breaks in, its cutting rate decreases quite a bit. So I buy these cheaper DMT diamond stones in both coarse and extra coarse and use them for reprofiling only until they break in to the point where they no longer hog metal. Then I throw them away and pull out a new one.
DMT-D4C01/03/2016 ByDavid Emmert I have all 4 of the DMT stones to use with my KME. I'm a beginner but after watching youtube vids about the KME and the Wicked Edge sharpener, I'm having good results. Just use little pressure and be patient. I also finish with the Arkansas Translucent or lapping film, then strop.
