I'm not as young as I use to be and my fingers had a terrible time trying to close my Manix. By installing this spring it greatly improved the knife. I can now close it with one hand.

The spring is too light for me. The blade does not have enough tension in the closed position. I did like how easy it was to operate the ball cage but didn’t like the blade tension when closed. I have the Manix 2 Salt and that already comes with a ceramic ball so I could not use that either. The quality on this is good and if you are looking for a real easy open and a lot easier pull on the ball cage this is perfect for you.

This kit is excellent. The lighter spring allows for easier flick openings. Disengaging the lock is also much smoother; while I had to grab both sides of the cage before, I can now pull it back with either the thumb or the finger only. Installation is a breeze with a good Torx driver. If you are frustrated by the action of your new Manix2, give this inexpensive kit a try first. It makes a world of difference.
