The illustrated SOG Knife is the SOG Trident Folder Knife that features a 3.75" part serrated clip point blade made of AUS8 stainless steel, .125" thick, with a Rockwell hardness of 57-58. The blade of this SOG knife has a non reflective black TiNi coat, a notched thumb ramp for secure grip, dual thumb studs and S.A.T. assist for ambidextrous one hand opening. The Digital Camo GRN (glass reinforced nylon) handle, 4.75" closed, has DigiGrip texturing for secure grip, the Arc-Actuator lock with safety switch, a cord cutter groove, and a lanyard hole. A side to side reversible bayonet pocket clip is mounted at the butt end of this SOG knife. The SOG Trident Folder Knife has an overall open length of 8.5", and weighs 3.6 ounces.

From the SOG website: The SOG Trident uses our well-proven means of delivering a knife blade to the open position with S.A.T. (SOG Assisted Technology). Now using our patent pending Arc-Actuator, the Trident locks stronger and releases easier.

Great Knife

I have just started to use this knife but so far I really like it. I have not spotted any cons yet. It takes a little getting used to how to open it but it is coming along. I do like the lock feature to keep it securely closed. Also, the lock to keep it open.
